Even with half the year ahead, we are already thinking about 2017 and the huge number of productions that will bring. These mostly stand out as being remakes, sequels, prequels, reboots and that another original. Of them, we have assembled a list in chronological order with ten of the most anticipated films that have generated high expectations and are giving a lot to talk about.
Friday the 13th (January 13, 2017)
There will be a new adaptation of the hit horror franchise in the coming year. And there is already a selected date for its return, and its January 13, 2017’s Friday. It’s been almost a decade since the previous release, and this time, young people will have the same opportunity as those who were in the 80s and 90s going to the movies on Friday the 13th for Jason and all its terror.
Resident Evil: Final Chapter (January 27, 2017)
Five years after the last installment of the apocalyptic saga based on the video game of the same name, Milla Jovovich is all set to put the finishing touch to a delivery that has generated more than 1,000 million dollars revenue in the last 10 years.
Lego Batman (February 10, 2017)
Any news of Batman like the public, either in the form of series, comic or theatrical release is anticipating. Batman vs Superman is expected in the coming year. So if Lego and Batman join it is more than likely that the public will unleash their passions. They have already released the date for this film and is already known who will be the voices of the characters. Will Arnett lend his voice to Batman, Michael Cera will be Robin.
Wolverine Sequel (March 3, 2017)
It is very hard to believe that Wolverine can be interpreted by someone other than Hugh Jackman. And he has long said that the third installment would be the last in which he interprets the character of the X-men. Or so it seemed until a few days ago published a picture of Wolverine glove, but with four claws instead of three. Perhaps there is fourth, but the third arrived within 15 months.
Fast & Furious 8 (April 14, 2014)
This already legendary saga has good news for those who love speed. The seventh installment premiered in April 2015 was a box office success. After the death of Paul Walker seemed he could reach the twilight of history, but there’s a new movie with Vin Diesel and others.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (May 5, 2017)
The big blockbusters of 2014 will be the first to inaugurate the summer season next year. A highly anticipated film, in which Chris Patt will be Peter Quill. They announced that there will be a new guardian to make delight fans of the Marvel movie. In recent days, it has been revealed, after the death of David Bowie that the director thought of it. It would have been a new role for the prolific career of Bowie.
Star Wars: episode 8 (May 26, 2017)
The Box office is still in the seventh installment, led now by J.J. Abrams and has already set the release date of the eighth episode, which will arrive on May 26, 2017. It is not yet much of the new film is known, although John Boyega which is one of the new faces has revealed it will be much darker.
World War Z 2 (June 9, 2017)
The release date of this apocalyptic story is scheduled for June 9, 2017, for it has fallen from the direction the Spanish Juan Antonio Bayona. And it is that the intention of the Paramount Pictures is shooting it this year and could not follow the Bayona agenda. What is certain is that in this second installment Brad Pitt will be staring.
Toy Story 4 (June 16, 2017)
Still, it has not revealed anything about what addresses the new frame, but there is a new installment of the great jewel of Pixar. And surely that it is working again. It revised that there was a new movie (we have already announced calendar until 2019) after a large number of shorts that were after the third. Good and bad languages indicate that the protagonist could be, this time, cowgirl Jessie.
Pirates of the Caribbean 4: dead men tell no tales (July 7, 2017)
The return of one of the most profitable franchises in history where again you can see Johnny Depp in the role of Jack Sparrow, one of the most profitable characters in film history and that sure makes Depp stop being one of the most overrated stars in Hollywood. It is also likely the return of Orlando Bloom.
Planet of the Apes (14 July 2017)
The funny thing is that it will have the same name as the tape Charlton Heston. It was predictable that after the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes there will be third installment. And finally it is confirmed by the Director Matt Reeves.
Wonder Woman (23 June 2017)
Another superhero film comes in the summer of 2017 and is already immersed in the shooting. But yet to be confirmed by the entire cast. In fact, in recent days it has sounded very strongly the name of Robin Wright for the character of the mother of the superheroine. It would be a great reason to see the film, like its protagonist Gael Gadot.
Gru, my favorite villain 3 (30 June 2017)
After this past 2015 Minions were for free and premiered his first solo film, with some deception included to the extent that was located by some among the list of worst movies of the year. And like any big premiere, it is expected they arrive in summer.
Alien: Covenant (October 6, 2017)
The sequel to Prometheus and very close is the start of production of the new release. And there is already a date marked in red on the calendar. It will be released in October 2017 when the new creature in Ridley Scott sees the light, a director who still savors the success of the Golden Globes with The Martian.
Thor: Ragnarok (November 3, 2017)
The superhero returns with the full force of his hammer in 2017. It is obvious that Chris Hemsworth will be embedded in the skin of Thor. And surely it has to look back to a very different body from which he saw a few dates for his role in In the heart of the sea.
The Justice League: Part 1 (17 November 2017)
In 2016, we have seen the most awaited Batman vs Superman, the first title arrives with Warner and DC. There will also be room for Wonder Woman, and then will turn to the Justice League. In 2017 there will be Ben Affleck as Batman, Superman Henry Cavill as Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
